Andrea Vidaure, a representative with Green Latinos, asked Pruitt as he spoke to the crowd, "Do you realize Chlorpyrifos is poisoning children and farmworkers? Are you ok with poisoning children? Do you care about public health?." Clara Summers also asked Pruitt "You have a legal mandate to protect the public. Why are you sacrificing public health at the expense of worker's rights?", as Vidaure was escorted out. Other individuals from 350.org, Global Zero, Earth Justice and a coalition of environmental groups, handed out apples and oranges with labels that had the DOW logo, and read "Chlorpyrifos; Protected by Pruitt," calling attention to Pruitt's rejection of a petition to reduce use of Chlorpyrifos.Locations:North America-United States of America-Washington, D.C.Date:7 Apr, 2017Credit:© Greenpeace / Amanda J.
