Activists Protest against Finnish Prime Minister at German Chancellery in Berlin
On 19th February 2020, the Finnish State President Sanna Marin meets for the first time with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin. Greenpeace and Fridays For Future activists demand from both leaders to stop Datteln 4 – a brandnew coal power plant that should go into operation in summer 2020 even after Germany's decision to phase out coal. The plant would emit an estimated 40 Million tons of CO2. Uniper, the owner of the coal plant, is owned by Fortum, which main stakeholder is the Finnish state.
The German and Finnish banners read "stop Datteln 4!"
