Activists Stage “the Wheel of Nukes-fortune Show” in Korea

Greenpeace activists showcase “the Wheel of Nukes-fortune Show” in Seoul, Korea. Greenpeace activists dressed as the Grim Reaper and casino dealers present the government’s nuclear power expansion policy as a dangerous gamble. The banner says 8+2 The world’s worst nuclear threat. The show is staged in front of the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission (NSSC). The NSSC is scheduled to discuss the plan to build two additional nuclear reactors at the Kori Nuclear Power Plant. The Kori is already the world’s largest and thus the world’s most dangerous nuclear power plant.

Greenpeace’s performance action, the Wheel of Nukes-fortune hammers home the point that the plan for two additional reactors is nothing but a safety-defying high-risk gamble which puts more than 3.4 million people in direct nuclear-danger. Greenpeace asks the NSSC and the government to stop the plan, and also phase out nuclear power.
