Activists spray paint Illegal Wood from Dutch Timber trader
Dutch timber trader Emmerik was found in possession of a large stockpile of Chinese multiplex, made of Bintangor and Red Canarium, which is illegally logged on large scale in Papua New Guinea. Greenpeace activists spray painted wood from Dutch timber trader Emmerik with "100% crime" to make sure they would not be able to sell it.

Action against Illegal Timber in the Netherlands
Greenpeace demanded the stock of illegal timber of Dutch timber trader Emmerik. The company was found in possession of a large stockpile of Chinese multiplex, made of Bintangor and Red Canarium, which is illegally logged on large scale in Papua New Guinea.
This action is a follow-up to a former action during which Greenpeace already took notice of the illegal trade and requested the company to stop immediately, which until now they haven't.
Greenpeace activists spray painted wood from Dutch timber trader Emmerik with "100% crime" to make sure they would not be able to sell it. Emmerik did not respond to Greenpeace's offer to exchange the illegal wood for sustainable FSC-wood that Greenpeace had brought along.
*The same day this action against illegal logging was continued in the Hague, the Netherlands.
