Advertising Hack on Black Friday in Bogotá
On the eve of Black Friday, Greenpeace Colombia volunteers hacked advertisements with the message: "The best deal is to save the planet." According to the environmental organization, Black Friday is responsible for 3.6% of annual greenhouse gas emissions in Bogotá, 496 thousand tons out of a total of 13,779,847 tons. Commercial dates such as Black Friday, day without VAT, Cyber days, show the excessive consumption model in which we live. Greenpeace Colombia's action was carried out within the framework of the Our New City campaign, which seeks to promote a more sustainable lifestyle by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
