Aegean Sea Bottom Trawlers Action
As the Greek seas stand in the brink of collapse, Greenpeace takes direct action against bottom trawlers, one of the key drivers of overfishing and degradation of the Aegean seas. The four Greenpeace activists who took part of the action against trawler ALBERTA II off the islands Mykonos and Delos in the Aegean Sea have been detained for almost 45 hours by the port police of Paros in Greece and have been found not guilty and cleared of all charges. Greenpeace is demanding a ban on bottom trawling in the area.
