Arctic 30 Ice Action at Gas Company Gazprom in Berlin - News Access
Berlin 2013-11-14: 15 Greenpeace Germany activists protest with portraits of the Arctic 30, frozen in ice cubes, in front of the Russian Gazprom Gas Company headquarters in Berlin. Ice cubes on a stage form the slogan "Save the Arctic".
A Twitter demonstration accompanies the action.
Greenpeace demands that Gazprom cease their high-risk oil exploration in the Arctic. The protesters also repeated demands for the release of the "Arctic 30", (28 Greenpeace International activists, as well as a freelance photographer and a freelance videographer) currently in custody pending investigations into a peaceful Arctic protest against Gazprom’s plans to start oil production at Prirazlomnaya oil rig in international waters.
