Berlin 2013-11-16: Greenpeace activists hold lantern processions in six German cities to the diplomatic missions of Russia in Berlin (shown in this footage) Hamburg, Munich, Leipzig, Frankfurt and Bonn to demand the release of the imprisoned socalled Arctic 30 Greenpeace activists who are detained in Russian jails for having staged a peaceful protest against Gazprom’s plans to start oil production at Prirazlomnaya oil rig in international waters thus being the first offshore rig built in ice-covered Arctic waters.

Laternenumzug für die `Arctic 30´ in Berlin
Berlin 16.11. 2013 – In sechs Städten veranstalten Greenpeace-Aktivisten Laternenumzüge, um sich für die Freilassung der in Russland inhaftierten Greenpeace-Aktivisten einzusetzen. Ziel der Umzüge sind die diplomatischen Vertretungen Russlands in Berlin (dieses Footage) Hamburg, München, Leipzig, Frankfurt und Bonn. Die sogenannten Arctic 30 hatten friedlich auf der sich in internationalen Gewässern befindenden Ölplattform Prirazlomnaya gegen Gazproms Pläne protestiert, als erster Energiekonzern in arktischen und von Eis bedeckten Gewässern nach Öl zu bohren.
