Arctic Sunrise in Salish Sea - Social Media 50 Second Video (English Subtitles)
A Canadian federal court “quashed” the approval of the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. It’s a massive victory for the Indigenous Nations and all of us who stood against this pipeline. The court's decision is a testament to people power! Despite the danger the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion poses to Indigenous sovereignty, the climate, water, and the endangered Southern Resident orca, the Canadian government is determined to build this dangerous tar sands pipeline.
The Arctic Sunrise followed the route of the tar sands tankers to show what's at stake-- and what the movement to stop tar sands pipelines is working to protect. Now's the time for this project to be cancelled altogether.
