Arizona Faces Worsening Drought Conditions

A dock, which has become unusable as worsening drought drops the water level of Lake Mead to new historic low records, is visible at South Cove near the upper reaches of the reservoir near Meadview, Arizona. Large portions of the West are now classified as being in "exceptional drought", the most extreme drought category. Many major reservoirs have reached historic low levels and fire officials are warning that another devastating wildfire season has already begun.
