The estate is the site of the 1,400 megawatt (MW) BLCP coal-fired power plant. Coal plants are a major source of air particulate pollution. Greenpeace is calling upon the Pollution Control Department to impose stricter standards on particulate matter in the country’s Air Quality Index and to monitor and enforce preventive measures on PM 2.5 in order to protect public health.Locations:Map Ta Phut-Rayong-Southeast Asia-ThailandDate:18 Nov, 2017Credit:© Jorge Lareau / GreenpeaceMaximum size:4240px X 2832pxKeywords:Air pollution-Artists-Clean Air (campaign title)-Climate (campaign title)-Coal-Greenpeace activists-Houses-KWCI (GPI)-Masks (protective)-Night-Outdoors-Protective clothing-Two peopleShoot:Industrial Dust and Air Pollution in ThailandA selection of images to illustrate the problem of air pollution in Thailand.
