Cottbus/Jänschwalde, 10.12.2008: Mit einem 35x15 Meter großen Transparent protestieren Greenpeace-Aktivisten am Braunkohletagebau Jänschwalde in der Lausitz gegen die weitere Nutzung von Braunkohle als klimaschädlichem Brennstoff. Das Braunkohlekraftwerk Jänschwalde, das dem Energiekonzern Vattenfall gehört, ist mit 25 Milliarden Tonnen CO2-Emissionen eines der klimaschädlichsten Kraftwerke Deutschlands. Greenpeace versucht, die Brandenburgerinnen und Brandenburger dazu zu bewegen, in einem Volksbegehren gegen die Ansiedlung neuer Braunkohletagebaue zu unterschreiben.
