Beluga II Tour Ends in Stralsund, Germany
Greenpeace ship Beluga II reaches its final destination on a tour of the German Baltic Sea in Stralsund, Mecklenburg-Vorpommerania. Guests have the chance to tour the ship and gather information on the fishing industry and the proposed marine protection area in the Antarctic Weddell Sea.
In autumn, the Antarctic Commission CCAMLR will decide on whether the proposed 1,8 million square kilometer marine protection area will be granted.
The ship is open for visitors until on July 14th.
