Bluefin Tuna Action in the Mediterranean

Greenpeace activists in an inflatable take part in a non-violent direct action while behind a cutting grapple from the Greenpeace ship MY Arctic Sunrise is thrown into the net of a tuna cage. Greenpeace is taking action to release highly endangered bluefin tuna from a cage towed by a tugboat to a tuna farm where the fish are to be fattened and sold. Greenpeace is in the Mediterranean Sea to protest against bluefin tuna fishing fleets and to promote a network of marine reserves.
