Bluefin Tunamobile in Paris
Greenpeace activists block the French fisheries ministry entrance in Paris with a converted sea-blue Mini, a specially designed ‘tuna-mobile’, baring a life-size bluefin tuna and a fishing net on the roof. Greenpeace is calling on Mr. Le Maire to act to protect the endangered bluefin tuna. Following official assessments of its extreme stock decline, Atlantic bluefin tuna meets the criteria for a ban on international trade, according to global scientists of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). The ICCAT AGM Annual General Meeting is taking place in Paris from 17 to 27 November 2010.
