Climate Justice - Sea Level Rising in Bonaire
A pole with a lifejacket and a warning sign that reads 'Sea Level Rising' stands on the south side of the beach of Bonaire. Greenpeace Netherland started a campaign to draw attention to the consequences of climate change on Bonaire. Bonaire is being hit hard by climate change, while the island's emissions are many times lower than those of the European part of the Netherlands. By placing lifejackets on poles along the coastline, the organization draws attention to the risks of global warming.
