Over 40% of Dangjin citizens oppose new coal plants according to the survey Greenpeace East Asia Seoul recently conducted. Dangjin local groups are preparing a people’s referendum to stop this. Dangjin citizens join the “Break Free” movement to stop climate change.
The Break Free march is co-organized by Dangjin Citizens’ Commission Against Power Cable & Coal-Fired Power Plant, Korean Federation for Environmental Movement, Greenpeace, GEYK, and 350.org.
