The activists inflate balloons with exhaust fumes emitted by two Volkswagen Ventos, and return these toxic gases to the plant. The messages read: “Volkswagen, stop poisoning our children” and “Enough lies.” In October, it was revealed that Volkswagen has manipulated exhaust measurements in its vehicles in the Unites States. While under laboratory conditions the vehicles showed no abnormalities in the regular emission test, the emission was significantly higher in the retests under real conditions, as much as 35 times higher than the legal standard. Greenpeace demands that Volkswagen remove all diesel cars from sale, and demands that cars already in circulation are recalled, the defect corrected and emissions regulations met.Related Collections:CO2 Protest at VW Factory in Argentina
