Catching and Finning a Blue Shark
Crew of the Fijian longliner the Win Full 6 hauls in a large Blue Shark on a long line, North of Fiji. The shark gets finned and then thrown back in the water. With 70% of the world's oceans overfished or at their limit, the Pacific has some of the world's last healthy fisheries. Greenpeace toured the Pacific between July and September 2004 to engage with governments, industry and Pacific communities and help them protect their ocean from overfishing and piracy.
