On the same day the Dutch energy market is liberalized. Greenpeace fears that this free energy market will lead to the collapse of the market for green energy. Study by TNS NIPO shows that if the price of green energy rises, 45% of the consumers will return to dirty energy. The coal-fired power plants, like the one at the Maasvlakte, emit CO2 that causes dangerous climate change. Greenpeace urges electricity suppliers Essent, Nuon and Eneco to invest also a major part in green energy like clean biomass power stations, wind parks and solar panels at the new liberalized energy market. They challenge them to prevent the collapse of the market for green energy.Related Collections:Action at Coal-Fired Power Plant E.ON in Rotterdam (Photos & Videos)
