Climate Action during Motor Show in Geneva
During his stay at the Geneva Motor Show, Greenpeace activists have confronted the Federal President Samuel Schmid repeatedly with banners reading "CO2 tax now!". Environmentalists are asking Schmid to strive for a high and immediate CO2 tax.
In original language:

Climate Action at Car Show in Geneva Switzerland
During his stay at the Geneva Motor Show, Greenpeace activists have confronted the Federal President Samuel Schmid repeatedly with banners reading "CO2 tax now!".
Environmentalists are asking Schmid to strive for a high and immediate CO2 tax. Even the pompous 75th Auto Salon in Geneva shows that the auto industry pushes primarily climate-consuming and intensive large vehicles with high CO2 emissions. Federal Schmid takes part in the patronage and in the Honorary Committee of the Motor Show this year. The total Federal Council will soon decide on this subject. It should not be the obligations of the car lobby that decide, but the climate and hence the welfare of the population should be the priority.
