Climate Action in Brindisi during G8 Summit in Italy
Greenpeace activists climb the Federico II coal power plant and paint the message "Stupid" on its chimney to send a message to the world's leaders who ended the G8 summit in L'Aquila with scant progress on saving the climate. The action is part of a week long nationwide protest in which Greenpeace has occupied five Italian coal plants, calling on the G8 leaders to take the lead on climate.

Climate Action in Brindisi during G8 Summit in Italy
Greenpeace activists climb and paint a message on the smoke stack of the Federico II coal power plant pointing out that coal is the most climate-polluting of fossil fuels and criticizing the world's leaders who ended the G8 summit in L'Aquila with scant progress on saving the climate. The activity is part of a week long nationwide protest where over 100 Greenpeace activists from around the world occupied four coal-fired power stations across Italy demanding the G8 Heads of State to take leadership on climate change
