Climate Emergency Caucus in Iowa

Iowans staged a climate-focused caucus on the eve of the first in the United States Iowa presidential primary caucuses. People were called on to support the presidential candidate they believe is best-suited to stop the Bakken Pipeline and lead a full-employment, WWII-scale mobilisation to rapidly retire all fossil fuel infrastructure, drive the U.S. economy to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025, and restore a safe climate for humanity. Sen. Bernie Sanders, running for the Democratic Party nomination, was chosen as the candidate with the best policies on climate and renewable energy.
