Coal Banner at SPD Party Convention in Augsburg
Greenpeace activists protest against the coal policy of the SPD (Social Democrats). Activists display a banner in front of a party convention in Augsburg, showing the SPD's logo behind a wall of coal briquets. Banner reads: "Phasing out of coal by 2040". A survey commissioned by Greenpeace revealed that the majority of Germans want to back out of coal based power generation by 2040. Also 80 percent of SPD supporters wish a phasing out of coal power.

Protest gegen Kohlepolitik vor SPD-Parteitag
Greenpeace-Aktivisten protestieren bei dem SPD-Bundesparteitag in Augsburg fuer einen raschen Ausstieg aus der Kohleverstromung. Vor einem fuenf Meter hohen roten SPD-Logo mit weissen Buchstaben bringen die Aktivisten eine rund zweieinhalb Meter hohe Mauer aus Kohlebriketts zum Einsturz und fordern damit die SPD auf, in ihrem Regierungsprogramm den Ausstieg aus der klimaschaedlichen Kohle bis 2040 zu beschliessen.
Auf dem Banner fordern die Aktivisten "Kohleausstieg 2040".
