Volunteers from Greenpeace, EcoWaste Coalition and Laguna youth participate in the waste audit as part of International Coastal Clean-up Day activities on September 17, 2011. The province of Laguna today joined the eco groups call for full public disclosure of toxic discharges from industries, especially into our freshwater bodies. Greenpeace is proposing the adoption of a Pollution Release & Transfer Register (PRTR) to provide the public with a database system from which they could check the health of their water sources and identify hotspots.
