Collection and Audit of Plastics in Guardamar del Segura (Alicante)
Within the framework of the Maldito Plástico campaign, Greenpeace organizes sensitization workshops and an audit of plastics on the beach of Guardamar del Segura, to denounce the impact of the plastic avalanche on seas and oceans.
In original language:

Shoot:
Collection and Audit of Plastics in Guardamar del Segura (Alicante)
Greenpeace gets into the Segura River to denounce its unfortunate state.
About 500 volunteers have collected, in just a few hours, 18,000 liters of garbage (about 18 cubic meters).
The companies that produce plastic containers are not managing, as they should by law, the impact of their production, and even lobby the administrations to delay the implementation of alternatives.
Although the Segura Hydrographic Confederation cleared the mouth of the river this week, trying to anticipate the “visit” of Greenpeace today to Guardamar del Segura, plastic containers have already accumulated in the area, before the outrage of the neighbors. Hundreds of them, equipped with gloves and bags, have responded to the call of the environmental organization to collect the huge amount of plastics in the area and, above all, point to the main brands responsible for this pollution.
