It is able to convert food waste, paper/wooden cutlery waste to compost in one day. The resulting compost is given away to customers, suppliers and allotment holders. To eliminate waste, the cafe uses local ingredients that generate no waste, they trade directly with local farmers and suppliers of intercepted waste which is heading to landfill. The delivery vehicles that they use are re-usable vessels and the cafe composts any green waste. Compost pictured inside the composting machine. Once bagged, the compost can be collected for free.Locations:Brighton-England-Europe-United KingdomDate:26 Apr, 2015Credit:© Emma Stoner / GreenpeaceMaximum size:4147px X 2765pxKeywords:Day-Food for Life (campaign title)-Indoors-KWCI (GPI)-Restaurants-SAGE (campaign title)-Waste disposalShoot:Silo Cafe in BrightonSilo Cafe describes itself as a pre industrial food system who choose to provide quality through purity, adopting a more primitive diet with techniques both modern and ancient.
