Contaminated Helicopters at Razsokha
Workers cut and dismantle helicopters at Razsokha graveyard, the biggest storage point for contaminated trucks, helicopters and other clean-up equipment that are never to leave the Chernobyl zone. More than 2000 vehicles and millions of tons of radioactive waste created by Chernobyl are stored here. These helicopters were used for clean up operations during Chernobyl disaster. After 20 years, some of their parts are still radioactive, however workers do not wear gear that protects against radiation.
