Reef fishes swim around a giant barrel sponge (Xestospongia testudinaria) in the reef of Hin Khao, two small pinnacles in the sea of Pakbara, Satun province, Thailand. Based on the recent expedition to Hin Khao, the reefs were found to be in good condition, suggesting low human disturbance to this relatively pristine ecosystem. However, it could be decimated with proposed plans to construct a deepwater port at Pakbara.Locations:Andaman Sea-Satun Province-Southeast Asia-ThailandDate:8 Mar, 2017Credit:© Sirachai Arunrugstichai / GreenpeaceMaximum size:4000px X 2670pxKeywords:Corals-Day-Fish-KWCI (GPI)-Oceans (campaign title)-Oceans (topography)-Outdoors-Pink-Reefs-Research-Underwater shotsShoot:Underwater Images in Andaman SeaCollection of underwater shots in the reefs of Koh Ya Kha island in Mu Koh Tarutao National Park of Satun province, Thailand.
