The normal operating level of the dam is 220 masl. Photo at the bottom with the structure now completely exposed, was taken last Friday (July 16), when levels reached an historical low of 157.55 despite the rains, triggering interrupted water supply in Metro Manila. This prompted water utility companies to implement a water rationing scheme to address the dwindling volume of water in thereservoir. Angat supplies 97% of Metro Manila's water supply.
