The farmers are part of a strong, local community, indigenous to the area. They work closely with the land, cultivating the rice and soil. The project, entitled ‘Rice is Life’ presents authentic evidence to show the importance of rice and ecology and the interaction between rice and culture amongst rice farmers. This is set against the growing trend in genetically engineered rice and the potential risks involved.Related Collections:Rice is Life - Traditional Rice Farming in China
