The concession, next to Tanjung Puting National Park in Kumai District, Central Kalimantan, is habitat for numerous endangered species including orangutans and proboscis monkeys as well as ramin. Greenpeace mapping analysis and field investigations reveal large-scale development in the concession between February and October 2013, including clearance of intact peatland forests inside buffer zones identified on the HCV assessment for the concession.Locations:Central Kalimantan-Indonesia-Kalimantan-Southeast AsiaDate:13 Nov, 2013Credit:© Kemal Jufri / GreenpeaceLatitude:2°47'7.03"SMaximum size:5181px X 3454pxLongitude111°44'48.93"EKeywords:Aerial view-Agriculture-Bumitama Agri Ltd.-Canals-Day-Deforestation-Destruction-Diggers-Forests (campaign title)-Industries-KWCI (GPI)-Outdoors-Palm oil (product)-Peatland-Plantations-Trees-Tropical rainforestsShoot:Deforestation for Palm Oil by Bumitama in IndonesiaDocumentation of deforestation in oil palm concessions owned by Bumitama Agri Ltd, a supplier to Singapore-based palm oil trader Wilmar International, which purchases more than half the palm oil it produces. Three company operations are subject to RSPO complaints including destruction of orangutan habitat.
