In addition to diseases, such as Covid-19, the indigenous populations of the state have compromised their diet due to the destruction of subsistence plantations. Some villages were completely submerged after flooding the rivers.
About 1,5 tonnes of food, water and cleaning and hygiene materials were delivered on March 26, 2021 to the indigenous peoples of Acre, who are currently facing the coronavirus pandemic, floods and dengue outbreaks. Greenpeace Brasil partnership signed with COIAB (Coordination of Indigenous Organizations in the Brazilian Amazon), Project Delivery, Idesam, COICA (Coordination of Indigenous Organizations in the Amazon Basin) and Água Crim.
