Demonstration at the Arrival of Shipment of Brazilian Soya in France

On 3 August, as Brazil suffers its worst drought in a century and deforestation and fires continue to ravage the Amazon, the Cerrado and other South American ecosystems, the cargo ship Giewont, loaded with 70,000 tonnes of soya cake from Brazil, arrived in Montoir-de-Bretagne to unload its cargo. It was greeted by Greenpeace France volunteers to denounce the French government's inaction on the issue of imported deforestation.
