Whales and dolphins make unique sounds whilst feeding and socialising. Greenpeace’s ship Arctic Sunrise is using a towed hydrophone array (underwater microphone) to survey for whales in the Arctic. Scientists will then analyse these recordings to better understand species distributions in the region. The Greenpeace team is heading north to the Arctic to document and bear witness to the 2020 sea ice minimum.Locations:Europe-NorwayDate:13 Sep, 2020Credit:© Daniella Zalcman / GreenpeaceMaximum size:6720px X 4480pxKeywords:Day-Indoors-KWCI (GPI)-MY Arctic Sunrise-Oceans (campaign title)-Research-Scientists-Teenagers-Two people-WomenShoot:Arctic Sea Ice Minimum Tour 2020 (Photo)The 'Protect the Oceans' campaign continues aboard the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise as a team heads north to the Arctic to document and bear witness to the 2020 sea ice minimum.Related Collections:Arctic Sea Ice Minimum Tour 2020 (Photos & Video)
