Days after Duke Energy’s coal ash dump began leaking hazardous chemicals into the Dan River, dozens of Charlotte activists and concerned citizens protest outside the company’s headquarters in Charlotte.  The group was demanding Duke clean up its toxic waste. Tens of thousands of tons of toxic coal ash continue to spill into the Dan River, which provides drinking water for people in Danville, Virginia and beyond.
