Earth & Run Plogging for Plastic Zero in Korea
Greenpeace East Asia Seoul office held a 'non-face-to-face running event, Earth&Run Plogging' for the month of June as part of the Plastic Zero Korea campaign. Plogging is a compound word of the Swedish words 'plocka upp' (which means 'to pick up') and 'jogging (English)'.
It started in Sweden in 2016 as an activity to pick up trash while jogging. Participants installed a running tracking app and started plogging. They shared their plogging activities on social media and shared their plogging experiences. Through this event, we spread the culture of plogging and made citizens think about a plastic zero earth.
