We monitor the soil with a microscope and look at what we have and what we are missing so we have a complete balance”. “The microscope is an important tool on the farm. We have tractors, we have equipment, we have iPhones and we have microscopes! We need it to monitor the soil so we can get the right biology for the crops we are growing”.“I love to grow oranges as a lot of people at Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) like citrus, especially in the winter! Its a lot of fun growing citrus, a real thrill to pick it ripe from the tree and taste as its supposed to taste like”. Lorraine Walker“I am a farmer at Eatwell Farm. Our primary focus here at the farm is Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) which means we deliver a box to all around the San Francisco bay area and in that way they have the opportunity to get great produce straight from the farm. They also invest in the future of the farm by subscribing to our box. I also produce cooking recipes in our farm newsletters every week to help our consumers make the most of the produce we are supplying them. I do this so people can have a connection to the food we are growing and it's not just a package that they buy from a store. We use Instagram, Facebook and Twitter to show the produce that we are growing. By using this connection we inform people why it is important to support local ecological farms”.Locations:California-North America-San Francisco-United States of AmericaDate:13 Apr, 2015Credit:© Peter Caton / GreenpeaceMaximum size:5790px X 4340pxKeywords:Agricultural products-Ecological farming-Eye contact-Farmers-Farms-Food-Food for Life (campaign title)-Fruits-Half length-KWCI (GPI)-Local population-Men-Oranges (fruits)-Portraits-SAGE (campaign title)-Two people-Vegetables-WomenShoot:Food for Life Documentation in CaliforniaDocumentation on ecological farmers and sustainable farming in California.
