Energy Saving Scheme Engaged Citizen in Seoul
Jaechul Sim is a Seoulite who takes part in citizen engagement schemes as the Eco-Mileage system - where Seoul citizens are incentivised to save energy in exchange for “miles” that they can use for buying eco-friendly products and public transport vouchers.
In the picture Jaechul is in his house next to a refrigerator.
The initiative is part of Seoul’s policy which encourages energy saving and supports sustainable energy solutions while trying to thwart the increase of nuclear plants in the country.

'Nuclear Free Hong Kong' Tour in Korea
The city of Seoul is determined to go for sustainable energy solutions through the “One Less Nuclear Power Plant (OLNPP)” policy. The policy requires Seoul’s citizens to become responsible energy consumers, and will improve the city's capacity to cope with energy crises and help promote shared growth with other regions and the prosperity of future generations.
Greenpeace tours the region to document and highlight how Seoul’s policy must be a role model to be followed by other cities like Hong Kong in order to fight climate change and stop the use of nuclear power.
