The team includes an anthropologist to evaluate how the population has been affected. In the last month alone, thousands of marine animals including birds, crabs and seals have washed ashore, dead, on Chiloé’s beaches. The call for an investigation comes after approximately five thousand tons of rotting salmon was discharged from salmon farming centers into the ocean on the largest island of the Chiloé Archipelago off the coast of Chile, in the Pacific Ocean.Related Collections:Environmental Crisis in Chiloé Island in Chile (All photographers & Video)
