Exposing European Investment Bank's Greenwashing in Luxembourg

During a meeting of its Board of Directors, the European Investment Bank (EIB) was renamed by Greenpeace Luxembourg activists who used banners, placards and inflatable cubes to change and rebrand the name of the bank into "European Greenwashing Bank".
The activists are denouncing EIB's hypocrisy and greenwash, as the bank continues to fund climate-killing projects and companies, while at the same time claiming it is doing its part to protect the climate.

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is the investment bank of the European Union and the world’s biggest international lender. The bank, despite various announcements, is still financing fossil gas projects, some of the dirtiest companies in Europe and funding motorway expansion, for example the A46 in Germany, which is destroying the centuries-old Dannenröder forest. At the same time the EIB is claiming to be the EU climate bank.  That is why Greenpeace Luxembourg activists rebranded the European Investment Bank headquarters to European Greenwashing Bank and exposed the bank's true colours.
