Fishing Vessel in Surat Thani

A fishing boat anchored near Ang Thong Marine Park in Surat Thani, South of Thailand. Ang Thong National Marine Park is a protected nature area consisting of over 40 islands, and is famous for its natural beauty.
Destructive fishing vessels are not allowed to enter and carry out fishing activities near the shore coastal marine ecosystems. Greenpeace is currently documenting illegal and destructive fishing methodologies in the Gulf of Thailand as part of its Oceans Defender tour.
