The widespread flooding forced the Palangka Raya city government to declare a state of emergency for 14 days from 12 to 25 November 2021. It was recorded that 17 sub-districts were inundated. Floods recorded an impact on 4,157 families consisting of 10,739 residents in 17 of 30 urban villages in the Palangka Raya City area.
