Flounder in Gillnet in North and Baltic Sea Protected Areas
European flounder (Platichthys Flesus) caught in a gillnet on the bottom of the Baltic Sea between Sassnitz and the "Natura 2000“ protected area named "Adlergrund“. Gillnets are also deathtraps to Harbour porpoise and diving birds. The MV Beluga-II is travelling to the protected areas of the North- and the Baltic Sea in July and August 2020. Its mission is to fight for "real protected areas" - domestically as well as internationally.
