Decades of forest destruction and drainage of peatland by the pulp and palm oil sector – including members of the Roundtable on Sustainable palm oil – have created the conditions for these fires. Greenpeace calls for the RSPO and all pulp and palm oil producers to implement a ban on deforestation and peatland development.Related Collections:Palm Oil Companies Must Accept Responsibility for Indonesian Fires (Photo + Video)"Countdown to Extinction" Report CollectionSumatran Tigers "Licence to Kill" ReportMedia Collection - Licence to Kill Report (Photos & Video)Warning, 900 PSI!
