Fridge Action against 7-Eleven's Plastics in Taiwan
Greenpeace Taiwan activists placed 3 large refrigerators filled with 7-Eleven plastic packaging in front of one of their stores as part of the brand attack. The NVDA (non violent direct action) aims to reveal that TW 7-Eleven produces and consumes more than 300 million coffee beverage cups annually and uses 3,394 metric tons of plastic in lunch boxes. In addition, Greenpeace survey found that about 7.5% of the “recyclable” plastic waste goes straight into the incinerator.
