With loud barking they expressed their disgust on the fact that wholesalers want them to eat GE food. They were supported in their protest by many human activists. Banners were attached to the roof of Migros that asked the company for the withdrawal of the GE fodder and to refrain from genetically engineered products. For several weeks now Migros is trying to sell pet owners genetically modified animal feed. The 4 types of cat food from the "Happy Cat" line and 5 varieties of dog food ( "Happy Dog" and "ASCO") have the barely readable text "With Soy protein (GMOs)" printed on the packaging.
