Green Question Climate Action Manila

Masked activists posing as presidential candidates are among a group of a hundred or so protestors from Greenpeace and partner organisations, who are today staging a mock election campaign in front of the Comelec. Mimicking the carnival-like atmosphere of Philippine election campaign, activists launched the Green Electoral Initiative (GEI). They are pressing presidential candidates to tackle environmental problems that impact on basic needs - clean energy, clean water, and safe food.

Mimicking the carnival-like atmosphere of Philippine election campaign, activists launched the Green Electoral Initiative (GEI). As a nation that continues to suffer from a staggering number of environment related catastrophes, the ‘green questions’ can no longer be ignored.
