Greenpeace Action and Press Conference in Lützerath

Threatened destruction of Lützerath village at the Garzweiler opencast lignite mine, by the RWE Group. October 1, 2021 marks the start of the clearing season, which will allow the corporation to cut down trees in the village and create the first facts. Greenpeace activists hang an 18-meter-long banner on Eckardt Heukamp's farm at the entrance to Lützerath village. Afterwards, actors of the climate justice movement speak in a joint press conference. Drohenden Zerstörung von Lützerath am Braunkohletagebau Garzweiler. Dem Dorf Lützerath am Braunkohletagebau Garzweiler droht der Abriss durch den RWE-Konzern. Mit dem 1. Oktober 2021 beginnt die Rodungssaison, wodurch der Konzern im Ort Bäume fällen und erste Fakten schaffen kann.
