Harvest at Small-scale Palm Oil Farm in Cameroon
A worker harvests palm fruits at the Netapti palm oil farm, in Eyang village, run by Eyong Thomas, head of the Njockebai family. He employs his family and another 8 workers from the village. Their palm oil farm covers 9 hectares of land, is well maintained and very productive, selling to local markets and to other bigger buyers. All 10 members of the family live from the profits of the farm and 3 of their sons are going to university. They completely sustain themselves and recycle most of the things they use during the production process.
